Hey Girl, Hey!
Since It's my birthday, I thought it would be fun to share some random but good things I've learned in my 41 years of life so far!
Let's get straight to business ...
- It really is a privilege to grow older. Look at the news or social media if you need a reminder.
- Some of us do get wiser as we get older.
- Learn to take care of your body when you're younger rather then waiting for your body to yell at you as you age! Ha Ha
- Not every adult uses wisdom and discernment or learn from their past mistakes.
- Life is made up by 1 moment at a time, over a period of time.
- You have to continuously cast down those negative thoughts in your mind.
- It's so worth waiting to have kids when you're somewhat ready. You get to actually enjoy your kids and the journey! They become a blessing instead of a burden.
- I really love and enjoy being an older momma.
- Perimenopause sucks big time.
- Setting healthy boundaries will cause you to lose some people.
- You gotta prioritize your relationship with God. There will always be other things you want to do instead. This is your flesh trying to distract you.
- The enemy is patient. He will wait for you to take the bait. He doesn't come in swinging like we think. It's little by little so that we don't notice the small little shifts, or changes. Pay attention!
- Distraction is a tool that the enemy uses.
- How my identity suffers the more I'm paying attention to the wrong things or people.
- Waiting on God is hard but so worth it. He only wants the best for us.
- Learning to trust God fully is a life long journey.
- Life is hard but harder when we try and live without God who is all knowing and all powerful!
- Friendships change just like the seasons of life.
- 2 things can be true at the same time.
- Life is short but can feel so long.
- We let fear have more of a say so then it should.
- So many people are afraid to change.
- God really is good. Your opinion of what "good" changes as you experience life.
- Life isn't about us. It's about God plan of redemption and love and learning the part we play in it.
- Day dreaming, hoping and whishing becomes harder as you get older.
- Staying stuck in your ways becomes easier as you age.
- You have less patience for foolishness.
- You become more serious and less spunky.
- You learn that people will be people at the end of the day.
- Some people don't want a solution, they just want to keep talking about their problems with no intent to change them.
- To someone, you will be the bad guy, the enemy, the person who they avoid.
- Not everyone will like you, agree with you, or even find you of value. But that's okay. Go where you are wanted!
- You will love the person you have became because you will see the journey you took to get here.
- Self love becomes greater.
- You live life differently.
- You're always learning about yourself, the world, and life.
- Learn to need and lean on God like you do the air you breathe.
- It's okay to be wrong. Pivot, ask for forgiveness and move on.
- Your perspective will change with the seasons of life you go through.
- We can be our worse enemy.
- Create the life you don't need a vacation from!
