When the details, the moment, and memories of a person, pet, or life event start to fade we forget.
Memories stay fresh in our mind but only for a limited amount of time. We may remember some details, but I guarantee you that there are some details you probably have forgotten, or they are a little blurry to recall. This frustrating issue happens to us all. Sometimes we need something tangible to spark our memory!
This is one of the reasons I create personalized ornaments. So, we can remember those people, pets, or moments that we so deeply cherish and loved.
I had a co-worker who was older than I and she would share with me the traditions she did with her 3-adult daughters, and grandchildren that were passed down to her from when she was a little girl. The smile on her face, recalling specific memories of her and her mom in the kitchen making holiday candy from scratch. I had hoped for moments like she mentioned when I had children. I remember telling her how lucky her children and grandchildren are to have her pass down memories and experiences during the holidays.
I wanted to create special, personalized ornaments so that they could be a tradition. Each year we would get special ornaments that represented something special that happened within the year for us to remember it by. Then, as my children grew, I would be able to pass down those special ornaments to them and they continue the legacy.
