Just unfollow them already …
If you are in a season where you are finding yourself struggling with protecting your heart, eyes, and ears. Policing your thoughts and regulating your nervous system. Wishing you had what others have or not loving the life you currently have.
Then look away. Unfollow the accounts, or people that are currently triggering you in this season! This doesn’t have to be forever, maybe just until you get ahold of things and get in a better place mentally.
When there’s a desire, a prayer, or a hope that we have for something, and that thing has not happened yet, it can manifest itself into us feeling jealous, frustrated, and furious. Especially when we are following and seeing people who are living the life we want, or an answered prayer we are waiting on.
Give yourself permission to click that “unfollow” button so that you can heal. It’s okay. Don’t worry about what others may say, don’t think about what you may feel like you are missing out on. Don’t let your mind get the best of you and tell you lies.
Think about the future you and how she will be glad that you finally made her a priority!
